It may happen that you have to share your screen with other people in all situations. Maybe you want to show them a presentation. You must teach someone how to perform a task. Or you must show an error to a technician for advice on solving a problem.

Whatever the reason, if you are using Windows 10, you can use the Skype application to share your screen during a call.

In this Windows 10 guide, we will explain easy steps to quickly share your screen with other people during a Skype call.

How to share your screen on Skype

To share your computer screen on Skype, follow these steps:

  1. Open Skype.
  2. Select a person from your contact list.
  3. Click on Video call or Audio call button to start the conversation.
  4. Click on the Skype interface (or on the screen tab) to reveal the call actions.
  5. In the lower right corner, click the button two overlapping squares button.

  6. If you are using a multi-monitor setup, select the view that you want to share.
  7. Turn on Share the sound of the computer rocker switch (optional).
  8. Click on Share the screen button.

Once you have completed the steps, your screen is now available to everyone involved in the call. You will also notice a yellow line around the screen allowing you to know the display you are sharing and that the feature is currently enabled.

To stop sharing the screen with others, click the button Share the screen button in the lower right corner of Skype.

Although this guide mainly uses Skype under Windows 10, you can also use these instructions to share your screen with the help of the Skype desktop version for Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Mac OS and even Linux.
