BENGALURU: The B2B food technology company HungerBox closes a $ 4.5 million round led by Neoplux, a South Korean investment company, and Saber Partners, an Indian private equity firm, with Lionrock Capital (Singapore) and Infosys Co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan.

This occurs months after the company raised $ 2.5 million in Pre-Series A financing in January, led by Lionrock Capital and Gopalakrishnan.

Launched in 2016, Growth Story's HungerBox focuses on the B2B space and operates more than 100 digital cafeterias for more than 75 corporate clients, including Qualcomm, Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon and McKinsey, in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi / NCR and Jaipur.

HungerBox makes more than six million orders per month in 160 digital cafeterias that it currently manages in the country for companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft, FirstSource, Accenture, Cap Gemini, Genpact, ABB and McKinsey.

The company said the new funds will be deployed to support the rapid growth of HungerBox in India and fuel the company's expansion into the Southeast Asian market.
