(Red Oak) – As the new school year approaches, KMAland health officials stress the need for student vaccinations.
Sue Drake, public health director for Montgomery County, says it's important that parents check for sure that they are ready before the first day of school. Drake says that most shooting is done around three key ages, starting with kindergarten.
"They can have these shots anytime after the age of four," Drake said. "They have them at four o'clock, that's great – so they're ready to go to kindergarten if they're at five, and they're ready to go to kindergarten, that's Also goes, and four vaccines – their DTAP – that they had as a baby, or a toddler – polio, MMR – which means measles, mumps and rubella – and chickenpox, which is chickenpox ( vaccine).
