July 20: Here are the 10 essential things to know before opening the market

The market should start on a moderate note due to weak global signals and before a vote of no confidence against the government Narendra Modi on Friday. Investors are also awaiting the June quarter results of major Indian companies.

Here are the 10 main factors to know before the opening bell:

SGX Nifty: The SGX Nifty Futures traded in Singapore was traded at close of trading at 10,975 Vs on Thursday at 10,973, indicating a lukewarm opening for Indian equities

US Markets: Stocks declined on Thursday after earnings disappointed and on the trade war concerns between the US and the US. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 134.79 points, while the S & P 500 lost 11.13 points. Nasdaq Composite fell 29.15 points

Oil prices: Brent oil fell 32 cents to $ 72.58 a barrel, hitting a record high of $ 73.79. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 70 cents, or 1%, to $ 69.46

June quarterly results: Wipro, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Holding and Investments, HDFC Standard Life, L & T Finance Holding, Bata India, Ceat Ltd, Havells India, Just Dial, L & T Finance Holding, Hathway Cable, Atul Ltd., Kansai Nerolac, MCX, Nelco Ltd., Sanwaria Consumer, Zee Media Corp, will publish their first quarter results.

The Sensex closed at 36,351.23, down 22.21 points, or 0.06%. The Nifty NSE 50 also finished 23.35 points, down 0.21 percent at 10,957.10.

Rupee: The rupee weakened 43 paise to close at a record low of 69.05 against the US dollar on Thursday, the first time. the rupee has ended below level 69 against the greenback. Thursday also marked the sharpest fall of the rupee against the US currency since May 29.

Trading Volume: The IFI sold shares worth Rs 315.69 crore, while domestic institutional investors bought shares worth 470.02 crore . Thursday, PTI reported.

No vote of confidence: The government of Narendra Modi faces the motion of censure moved by the party of Desug Telugu. PM Modi is scheduled to speak in the evening around 5.30 pm, after which the vote will take place.
