TOKYO (Reuters) – Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Monday that the central bank will maintain its ultra-sound monetary policy -souple until inflation reaches its target of 2%
. The goal of the Bank of Japan was to improve the output gap and increase inflation expectations in the medium and long term.
"The Japanese economy is expected to continue to grow moderately," said Kuroda As part of a policy of controlling the yield curve adopted in 2016, the Bank of Japan is committed to directing short-term interest rates to minus 0.1% and the rate of 10-year government bonds around zero.
