The announcement – just a little under thirty seconds – shows the Aventador SVJ at the Nürburgring with highly stylized action shots of the supercar on the track. We have a brief overview of the dashboard that shows the SVJ in sixth gear with the selected Corsa mode. There is a red line of 9000 rpm and 453 miles on the clock. The speedometer shows 206 miles per hour, which is lower than the maximum speed of 217 mph claimed by the manufacturer. This does not mean that the SVJ is slow.
The Aventador SVJ should hold more than 770 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque. However, the supercar could push nearly 800 hp. All this power will likely come from a modified version of the naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine from the Aventador.
Previous photos and videos seem to show the Aventador SVJ to the green hell that is spinning around the track, which has fueled speculation Lamborghini is gearing up for a record ride. The new teaser video only confirms rumors that Lamborghini will break Porsche's record of 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ should begin this summer. Fortunately, it will not be long before you see the car and find out if it has set a new lap record at the Nürburgring. Fingers crossed that there is the fastest new production car in the world in the next six weeks.
