A refreshed campaign of Safety @ Sea Singapore was unveiled today by the Director General of the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), Mr. Andrew Tan, at the launch of the 5th edition from the Safety @ Sea Week to Marina South Pier. To improve passenger safety on MPA-licensed regional ferries, the MPA will also co-finance the modernization of lifejackets and containers on MPA-licensed regional passenger ferries.

Updated Safety @ Sea Singapore Campaign

1. The Sea Singapore Campaign is an industry-wide effort to increase awareness of safety practices and instill a culture of safety at sea. this year will adopt a more targeted approach to reach different stakeholders with relevant and impactful safety messages.

2. The MPA will release a new series of eye-catching posters with updated security messages tailored to target groups such as bridge teams. , the crew, the ferry passengers and the boating community. MPA will also develop a new Safety @ Sea website, a unique digital platform for the marine community to obtain up-to-date information on maritime safety events and safeguards.

3. These new initiatives add to ongoing efforts such as regular industry briefings to share best practices, safety videos on board ferries and at railway stations, and regular ship controls to ensure compliance with safety standards. co-funding loop lifejackets and custom lifejacket lids
