Live images of Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 leaked before launch

The high-end Galaxy Tab S4 is perhaps not the only tablet that Samsung plans to launch in the coming weeks, while a few midrange and entry-level models have emerged online in the last month. One of these cheaper slates, the Galaxy Tab A2 has just been listed at FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

The tablet is known as the Samsung SM-T590 and sports a large 10.5-inch display with 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution. The images provided with the FCC list show a standard tablet that does not appear to have a physical Home button or a fingerprint sensor on the back.

However, we see two speakers down side, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack for audiophiles. Unfortunately, there are no details available on the hardware of the Galaxy Tab A2, but we suspect that it will be positioned between the high-end Galaxy Tab S4 and the entry-level Galaxy Tab Advanced 2.

It is not yet clear exactly when Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab A2, but we know for sure that the Galaxy Tab S4 will be presented next month at IFA 2018, with the Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Watch. Maybe the mid-range Android tablet will also be showcased at the same show.
