MALACCA : Malacca recorded an increase of almost 50% in the hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) cases, totaling 1,446 since Jan 1 until last Wednesday, from 795 cases during the corresponding period last year.
State Health Committee chairman Low Chee Leong said the number of children in the general population had increased.

He said as of last Wednesday, the Malacca Hospital had 15,942 bags of blood.
