Man caught with 92 fighting fish at Woodlands Checkpoint

SINGAPORE: Ninety-two fighting fish were found hidden in a car at Woodlands Checkpoint last Friday, said Wednesday the Authority of Immigration and Checkpoints (ICA) in a Facebook post Wednesday, July 25th.

The fish, packed in individual plastic bags, were kept in the boot, the center console and in a bag that was placed on a floor mat of the front passenger seat

The 58- year- The former Singapore-registered car driver had no valid license to import ornamental fish, said the ICA.

The ICA referred the case to the Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for investigation. The fish are currently being cared for by AVA, the ICA said.
