During the experiment, the minimum level of exposure in animals was the maximum permissible level of acupressure of mobile phones today, and the maximum was exceeded four times: 1.5 to 6 watts per kilogram of body weight for rats and 2.5 to 10 watts per kilogram for mice. Groups of rats began to irradiate before birth and mice from the fifth to the sixth week of life. The experience on each animal lasted two years. The animals were exposed to radiation nine hours a day, at intervals of ten minutes, with identical ten minute breaks.

One of the unexpected effects observed in the study is related to the life span: in the control groups of male rats not exposed to radiation, it was lower than that of the experimental groups. At a press conference in February, the study authors said that radiation can have random or real positive effects by reducing the inflammation that accompanies chronic kidney disease that develops in rats with age.
