The Facebook user, Mr Sharfu, explained yesterday how he wrongly gave the currency for £ 1,000 while the customer only gave him £ 100 to convert it to Singapore dollars.

Sharfu said:

"Hi post this to attract the attention of the concerned person on the photos. I hope you help to share that.
On 18/10/2018, Thursday around 12:30, the person shown in the picture has changed GBP 100 in SGD in our exchange store. (Masked location for customer privacy). Our sales assistant incorrectly entered the GBP1000 amount. (Invoice attached)
Attention to the person:
"We hope you will see this message and give us the extra money. (Whichever way you prefer) We have the complete sequence of this transaction as well as your facial response when you see the wrong amount on the receipt, all recorded in our CCTV system. Our reason is not to shame you at all and we have even scanned your facial features and the receipt for your own privacy. Please contact @ 981XXXXX to resolve this privately »
"Please note that we will have no choice but to report this to the POLICE with the full video and our transaction statement, if we do not hear from you soon. Thank you for your honesty "
H / p: 981XXXXXX "

For some reason, the message was removed, but not before ridiculing the Facebook users who responded to the message. The people who responded to this message asked how the money changer could be so careless.

Others asked where the money exchange shop was so that they could also change their money.

Still others have stated that it was unlikely that the replacement will recover the money.

The deleted message has reappeared again, but under another name earlier today.
