The Spanish back held to praise his former manager, who was recently sacked by Los Blancos after a disappointing run.
Julen Lopetegui has not been lucky at Real Madrid and should always be considered one of the best coaches in the world, according to Los Blancos right back, Dani Carvajal.
The Spanish back has worked with the recently ousted manager at club level and internationally and has no doubt about the quality that he has.
Speaking to the Spanish TV channel TVE , Quoted by Mundo Deportivo , he said, "Lopetegui is the best coach I've ever had.
"Unfortunately, he did not have that chance with us."
Lopetegui was sacked from his Spain manager post this summer, just three days before his team's opening match against Portugal, after announcing his agreement on a contract to take the helm in Santiago Bernabeu after the tournament.
Since then, Real have lost Cristiano Ronaldo and suffered a serious fall in fitness which places him currently sixth in the table La Liga after already losing four games in the league this season.
The club also suffered a long dry spell, 481 minutes before Marcelo finally found the back of the net in a 2-1 defeat to Levante.
But Carvajal wants to emphasize the merits of a coach he considers a football spirit.
He said: "His way of seeing football, his way of managing the team, his way of being with the players, I share those ideas.

"I have an idea to watch football and I said it before Lopetegui was named Real Madrid coach and I will repeat it now that he's no longer with us."
Since Lopetegui was sacked, Real has turned to the former player and boss of Castilla, Santiago Solari, to manage the team in an acting caretaker role.
Argentina's first two games saw Madrid beat twice, a comfortable Copa del Rey victory over Melilla's third division and a 2-0 win against Real Valladolid in the league, putting an end to the terrible defeat of the Spanish giant just one point in their five previous matches.
