Porsche has a huge selection of variants for the next generation 911 and a new batch of spy photos are our first look at the new iteration of the GTS. Like the current model, it would sit above the Carrera S but would not offer the performance of the 911 Turbo.

Compared with the first spy shots, this Mule test (below left) is certainly something different. The front fascia is more aggressive and features a wider range of more prominent slats in each grip. The lower separator is also more prominent. Porsche covers these panels with black tape, but it does not really seem to hide anything.

In profile, this mule test features a set of mis-matched wheels. Those at the front have five sets of double spokes, and the units at the back have a Y-ray design. Both have center locking hubs and a bronze finish. The brake discs appear to have a larger diameter than on the 911 standard.

The new 911 is expected to be released later this year and will go on sale in 2019. The GTS and Turbo versions will likely not be available from launch, however.
