What you may not know is that I prefer current iPad models. It's nice to be able to upgrade to an iPad and know that there is a headphone jack, and that you do not need a Bluetooth adapter or headphones. In everyday life, the lack of a headphone jack on the iPhone X is not a major flaw, but it's not the perfect solution.
One problem is that my wireless headphones are not always charged, or m in an area where I prefer to use larger wired headphones that muffle the background noise. In an airplane, I prefer to use the "Princess Leia" headphones because they sound much better.
As for the Home button, I do not have a problem. I'm used to slipping now and I'm known to slip on an iPad to unlock it, which does not work. Usually, they sweep too abruptly or with a slight touch, not doing more than an intentional drag movement.
The biggest problem here is muscle memory. When first upgrading to an iPhone X, be aware that there will be a period of adjustment. We unlock our phones so many times a day that our fingers know exactly where to touch. It's always difficult to double-click the power button to install an application because I install applications so rarely. What this means for the new iPads, if the rumors are true, is that we will have to adapt to the new sweeping motion.
And, it seems that Apple will not release new iPads that retain the Home button and headphone jacks. This means that anyone who loves the iPad will have to stick to his current model or buy a legacy model that might not have the fastest processor.
Is it terribly upsetting? Do you want to cry all the way to the Apple Store and all the way home? Probably not. Yet these small changes have an impact, especially if it's a device we use everyday all day.
I would prefer that Apple continues to update the 9.7-inch iPad model next to these new iPad Pro models. It might not happen, but we can only hope.
