PUTRAJAYA: The government plans to cancel four new independent power generation contracts (IPPs) that were approved by the previous government, said Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Science , Technology, Climate Change and the Environment. She stated that one of the PPIs was a publicly traded company.

Yeo said four other IPP contracts, which are also new projects, would be reviewed to determine the viability and costs involved without any technical problems.
