Sébastien Loeb won his first World Rally Championship victory in more than five years in Spain on Sunday as his compatriot Sébastien Ogier took the lead in the championship against Belgium's Thierry Neuville.
MEXICO: Sebastien Loeb won his first victory in Spain in the World Rally Championship on Sunday, while his compatriot Sebastien Ogier took the lead in the championship against Belgian Thierry Neuville.
Loeb, a nine-time world champion, competes in the Citroën races after retiring at the end of the 2012 season.
This victory is the 79th of his career and he beats Ogier of M-Sport Ford, the reigning champion, by 2.9 seconds.
Neuville, of Hyundai, was fourth and now leads Ogier by three points before the final run of the season in Australia.
