SINGAPORE – Razer Pay, Razer's mobile wallet solution, may soon be accepted at some 40,000 Nets unified point-of-sale terminals in Singapore.

Razer said Monday, Nov. 12 on the sidelines of the Singapore FinTech festival that he was working with Nets Group to allow the acceptance of Razer Pay on these Nets terminals.

The goal is "to allow full interoperability by the launch of Razer Pay in Singapore in the first quarter of 2019," said Razer, the Singapore-based pay and payments company.

In addition to Nets, local brands such as Reebonz, Sistic, SP Group and WTS Travel are working with Razer to integrate Razer Pay capabilities into their systems.

For example, Razer is working with SP Group to integrate utility payments into the Razer Pay app, which apparently would not need to scan QR codes.

Razer said: "In this way, users can enjoy unprecedented convenience and ease of payment for their utility bills."

Similarly, users will be able to pay Sistic for their movie tickets or concert tickets directly through the Razer Pay app.

Razer Pay users in Singapore will continue to enjoy digital gaming and entertainment offerings such as Steam Wallet codes, Blizzard Balance PIN codes and Sony PlayStation.

Tan Min Liang, Razer's chief, said: "Since we announced our intention to launch Razer Pay by the first quarter of 2019, Singapore companies have shown a keen interest in their collaboration."

He stated that it was proof that Singapore's no-money ambition was "still alive", and that no "sole supplier has managed to satisfy all these merchants".
