Samsung Galaxy X could have a curved battery up to 6000mAh

A collapsible phone requires more than just a flexible screen because it may also be necessary to bend some internal components, which is probably one of the reasons why we do not have one still seen. It looks like Samsung is near because the company apparently has created a curved battery suitable for such a phone.

We say "appropriate" because Samsung SDI actually created a curved battery four years ago, but it only had a 210mAh capacity. Now, however, it is created one that can be between 3000mAh and 6000mAh and that is intended to be used in the Samsung Galaxy X folding according to ITHome, citing industry sources.

The top end of this range would be much higher than most smartphone batteries, but then the Samsung Galaxy X might need it because the phone can have a screen of about 7.3 inches, the making it more like a small tablet when it is completely unfolded.

Soon … maybe

There is no other information on the Galaxy X, but according to other recent rumors, the Waiting could almost be completed, sources suggesting that it could go into mass production later this year and hit the stores early in 2019.

This suggests that it could be around from the same era as the Samsung Galaxy S10.

But do not be surprised if there are more hold-ups, after all, this phone has been rumored for years now. And even when it is launched, it will probably not have a very attractive price, with an analyst claiming that it could cost around $ 1850, £ 1,375, $ 2,400 AU.
