There are those who will almost certainly take a challenge Samsung's statement of an "unbreakable" display. It's just human nature. For each of you, there is something undeniably attractive in the idea of a phone that can be dropped up to six feet without any sign of damage.
In terms of when (or rather if) Samsung's new flexible OLED technology will appear in devices, it remains to be seen. That said, a new cycle of rumors points to a "collapsible" display device that will arrive at some point next year, so who knows, maybe all of our wildest dreams are about to come true then. In the meantime, the tests certainly point to an impressive component.
UL's fall tests (arguably the most fun part of this day) consisted of letting the screen go about four feet, 26 times in a row. The phone was also exposed to extreme temperatures and – as mentioned above – fell about six feet, just for kicks. None seems to damage the screen.
