Ченые создали суперкомпьютер имитирующий человеческий мозг

There are computers designed to reproduce with maximum precision the architecture of the human brain. And the most powerful of these neuromorphic supercomputers has been launched recently.

A car named Spiking Neural Network Architecture (SpiNNaker). This unit can perform more than 200 million operations per second and each chip contains 100 million pieces.

The machine is assembled at the computer school of the University of Manchester and the project cost 15 million pounds. 20 years have studied the concept of supercomputer and its construction took 10 years.

SpiNNaker can simulate in real time the behavior of human neurons. It does not transmit large amounts of information from one point to another (like the rest of the computers) and sends data simultaneously in thousands of different directions. So work the cells of our brain.

While the number of hearts, which is a supercomputer that models the brain, is equivalent to 1% of that of humans. Now, however, this neuromorphic supercomputer will help understand the functioning of our central nervous system and allow large-scale simulations not to be available on traditional machines.
