No AC, bedding or clean toilets, the duo spends his first day at Adiala
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister's Legal Team Fallen Nawaz Sharif was allowed to meet him briefly, one day after being transferred to Adiala Prison after being arrested upon his arrival in Lahore.
Sources said The Express Tribune legal team was allowed to meet with the Prime Minister only five minutes. They added that lawyers Saad Hashmi and Zafar Khan went to Sharif to obtain a power of attorney to file an appeal in the High Court of Islamabad on Monday. A police official was also present in the prison room during the meeting of the legal teams, sources said.
It was also learned that no bed or AC was provided to Sharif in prison the first night while his bed was a solitary mattress on the floor, and the toilet was in a "detestable state"

However, the legal team was prevented from meeting Maryam Nawaz and only Amjad Parvez , his legal counsel, were allowed to visit him to obtain his signature on the document.
Sharifs lawyer Khawaja Haris is currently in Lahore and will arrive in Islamabad today (Sunday) to challenge the case in court. IHC. It was learned that an appeal against the Avenfield judgment will also be filed in the Supreme Court on Monday. It is expected that the case will be resumed by the bench of the IHC Division comprising Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Judge Mian Gul Hassan next week.
Interestingly, Judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, the lead judge, was not included as a member of the IHC Division bench. A member of the legal team informed that the appeal will be filed against the convictions of Sharif and his daughter on Monday, adding that a petition will also be filed against the award of their sentence.
Meanwhile, Azam Nazeer Tarar, executive member of the Council of the Pakistan Bar Association (PBC), expressed serious concerns because no special class cell has been given to Sharif in prison. He expected the government to provide him with class "B" facilities. Tarar also informed that a PBC delegation will visit Adiala Prison as observers next week. He wonders why a Prime Minister elected by three is treated like that while Pervez Musharraf, a man who repealed the constitution, lives freely abroad.

Meanwhile, a senior official of the Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) reveals that Maryam, who had persuaded her father to return to Pakistan and be imprisoned there, adding that she was very bold in her decisions. Similarly, the notification from the Justice Department surfaced last night specifying that Adiala Prison would be the place where the court of responsibility will sit for the trial of other references against Sharif and others.
However, the Sharif family also expressed concern. to conduct the trial inside the prison. A jurist from the legal team said that he would also challenge this notification, just as the team will also raise the issue before the IHC regarding the referral of cases to another judge after the judgment was rendered in the decision.
