The Bugatti Veyron RWD conversion seems easier than the change of oil

A few days ago, Royalty Exotic Cars on YouTube showed us what could be the most complicated oil change procedure to date, with the kind permission of the Bugatti Veyron. We are told that dealers charge $ 21,000 for this service, which is about the same price as a well-chosen Honda Civic Coupé. The crew spent two days dismantling a good deal of the back of the car to get the access needed to add oil and check the filters, and judging by the number of readers, we suspect you are as fascinated and shocked as us.

Now, the same crew is back with the same Bugatti Veyron, who now wears a bright red wrap. This time, the mission is a little more ambitious than changing the oil on the W16 engine, or rather, it should be more ambitious. Given the implication of this process, it might be easier to convert the Veyron into propulsion. Why in the world would anyone want to do such a thing? Apparently, this can be summed up in one word – donuts.

The Royalty Exotic team was expecting something too, but a test drive – at a low speed anyway – showed no problem. In fact, disconnecting the front transmission components significantly improved the Veyron's turning radius, which greatly eased the steering sensation. It has also reduced the weight of Bugatti's innuendo, although it is not revealed.

So, what's a Bugatti Veyron 1000 horsepower as a rear-wheel hypercar? We would actually be very interested in seeing more of its driving dynamics, but the video does not progress beyond the show of smoke and donut that obliterated a pair of new tires. It's not that we're dealing with antics – if we had the time and resources to change one of the world's most expensive exotic cars, we'd probably be doing exactly the same thing.
