For most of us, "cheese" and "health" do not go together because cheese food is considered an indulgence. But you will be surprised to know that cheese is not bad for health and that it has many health benefits, according to a study.

This article discusses why you should include cheese in your daily diet.

Cheese, like other dairy products, contains high levels of saturated fat, which has been associated with an increased risk of heart disease, hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis. But some recent studies have revealed that it's not dietary cholesterol and saturated fats but trans fats and added sugar that are responsible for increasing cholesterol and other heart problems.

Studies indicate that people who ate cheese every day were less likely to develop heart disease than those who did not eat cheese or rarely.

The article published in the European Journal of Nutrition states that cheese contains beneficial ingredients like proteins, probiotics and calcium, all of which are essential nutrients that our bodies need.

Some researchers from China and the Netherlands have come together to study the effect of cheese on the heart when it is consumed in the long run. The data analyzed more than 15 studies that included more than 2,000000 people. One study out of 15 excluded people with existing heart problems. All people have been followed for more than 10 years.

The results showed that people who consume a large amount of cheese are 14% less likely to develop coronary artery disease and 10% less likely to have a stroke than those who do not have it or rarely eat.

But other studies also suggest that consumption of larger amounts of cheese is not always good. People who consume about 40 grams of cheese a day have the lowest risk of developing heart problems.

So, this clearly indicates that having a cheese explosion every day is not what we suggest.

The negative effect of saturated fats in cheese is balanced by the healthy nutrients that it provides. The cheese has a high probiotic content that reduces inflammation related to all types of problems. It also contains CLA which can increase the amount of HDL (good cholesterol) and decrease the amount of LDL (bad cholesterol).

You should not eat more than 40 grams of cheese every day, but eating a little with your soup should not be considered unreasonable.
