SINGAPORE – Two motorcyclists were injured Wednesday morning (24 October) in an accident caused by an open door.

Police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car, a taxi and two motorbikes on the Seletar Highway (SLE) at 07:20.

The accident occurred in the direction of Bukit Timah Highway, after Exit 2 of Woodlands Avenue.

The two motorcyclists, aged 20 and 27, were aware of being driven to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, police said.

A video posted Thursday on the Facebook group Roads.sg shows a Comfort taxi driver coming out of his car, as a motorcyclist passes by him.

The motorcyclist crushes against the taxi door, skids and falls.

We see his motorcycle lying in the middle of the rightmost lane.

Unable to stop in time, a second motorcyclist hits the first bike and falls.

In the video, the taxi driver seems to have stopped his vehicle after being involved in a previous accident with a white car.

The investigations are in progress.
