Wong made it clear that his views on the Cabinet's list were not intended to tear off ministerial positions, but to respect the will of the people, to uphold the party's dignity and to ensure that it is safe. to ensure that no party was too powerful within Pakatan.
"When the four Pakatan parties have trusted the prime minister to choose and appoint ministers, it also means that we expect the prime minister to appoint his cabinet on the candidates' list of candidates.
"In terms of experience, capabilities and qualifications, our candidates excelled in all areas and were key national leaders for the DAP that contributed to Pakatan's great victory in the general election."
Wong says that Dapsy did not deny that Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad was indeed able to choose talented leaders, and he acknowledged the abilities of appointed ministers.
However, he said that only the party leaders would really understand and believe in the qualifications and abilities of the candidates they had suggested.
