A rescue attempt to extract a cat trapped on a narrow ledge of an HDB block in Jurong went awry Sunday morning. After panicking and struggling from a net while being raised by an officer of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), the cat fell from 11 stories until his death.

Not the first time
According to the Facebook user Siau Li Chao however, the Sunday morning incident is not the first time that a cat was found perched on a narrow ledge of the very same block. Siau now calls someone with relevant information or clues about stray cats that ended up on the edges of the block. Two possible theories: Either someone deliberately threw the cats out of the corridors on the ledges, or the design of the block allows the felines to find them easily.
