Vergne was found on the grid after being excluded from qualifying, while di Grassi also climbed from 11th place to the head of Audi's teammate, Daniel Abt, in a double result for the German manufacturer.
Sam Bird finished ninth and was therefore unable to take the fight title until the final of Sunday's season.
In the beginning, poleman Sebastien Buemi took the lead and was followed by his teammate at Renault e.dams, Nico Prost, while Mitch Evans has failed to accelerate since the start of the race.

On lap 29, Vergne let himself go by Lotterer to settle in the place that would guarantee him the title with Bird back in ninth position.
The race was suspended on lap 35 when Bird's teammate, Virgin Racing, Alex Lynn, lost the back of his car passing by the fast left of Turn 5 and hit the barriers on the outside of the turn.
The safety car was put into action, which made it possible to complete the peloton and complete the race at 45 minutes plus one lap.
The race resumed at the beginning of the 40th lap, di Grassi bowing to Abt and Buemi to win by 0.9 and win his second consecutive victory.
