ROME: Vivendi plans to convene a shareholder meeting at Telecom Italia to appoint four other members of the board of directors, according to the chief executive of the French media group.
"What I read is not a reality of the moment," said Friday Arnaud de Puyfontaine on the sidelines of a conference.
Vivendi is the main shareholder of Telecom Italia.
Last May, the Elliott Activists Fund fought against the control of the media giant's board of directors after a two-month campaign to upset the way the French group was managing the former monopoly telecommunications.
