TEMPO.CO Jakarta – Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla asked any the world, especially the people of Jakarta be a good host to the 17,000 athletes who will participate in the upcoming Asian Games in 2018. Many sporting events will be held in Jakarta and Palembang.
"We must be a good host nation, friendly, helpful and also a great supporter for the indo team who will participate, "said Jusuf Kalla in a morning. Exercise held at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta today.
The Vice President has declared his pride if Indonesia and its athletes can be a great host and can achieve heavy achievements. He also urged the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle by performing regular morning exercises.
On July 29, the 2018 Asian Games will begin in just 20 days. Palembang, capital of Indonesia, will host 40 sporting events from August 18 to September 2.
Indonesia is in the top 10 with at least 16 gold medals, more than the 2014 Asian Games where Indonesia finished 17th with 4 gold medals, 5 silver and 11 bronze.
