The case of the family that committed suicide bombings in Indonesia and the recent arrests in Singapore for terrorist-related activities show that the people involved do not necessarily have to be "shot down." They did reasonably well in life, but they chose pathways to radicalization and violence to destroy the society they had benefited from.
