WRC Rally Finland: Ott Tanak leads for Toyota after street stadium – WRC

Toyota's Ott Tanak holds a slim lead over the Rally Finland after setting the fastest time on the super-special stage in the streets of Jyvaskyla.

The Estonian won the Harju test in just 0.7 seconds. In 1965, Thierry Neuville and Sébastien Ogier finished second and third respectively, with Neuville ahead of the defending champion by only 0.1 seconds.

Andreas Mikkelsen assured Friday the departure of four cars. The winner of the Rally Finland last year, Esapekka Lappi, is fifth overall, losing time when he ran slightly out of a chicane.

After setting the pace at the morning shakedown stage, Citroen's Mads Ostberg and Craig Breen set exactly the same time in Harju to finish sixth overall in the overnight standings. The C3 WRC is in the process of revising its suspension geometry before this weekend, which Ostberg thinks is "very good for me"

Jari-Matti Latvala is eighth after a regular race in the center of Jyvaskyla, 2, 3s of his teammate Tanak

Elfyn Evans of M-Sport and Hayden Paddon of Hyundai share the ninth place after signing an identical time on the stage, 0.5 seconds behind Latvala and 0.2 seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen to 11th place.

Kalle Rovanpera was the fastest WRC2 rider in his Skoda Fabia R5 work, omitting the Hyundai driver Jari Huttunen by 1.8s.
