Sinking City developer Frogwares has stated that the version of his game currently on Steam is not made by Frogwares.

In one Tweeter posted today and shared on the game’s steam feed, Frogwares is asking users not to purchase the game.

“Frogwares did not create the version of [The Sinking City] which is now on sale on [Steam]. We do not recommend purchasing this version. More news soon, ”the statement read.

The studio has not released any additional updates at the time of writing. We’ve reached out to developer and publisher, Nacon, for comment.

The Sinking City was pulled from the shelves by Frogwares amid a legal dispute between the studio and Nacon in August 2020, after alleging that Nacon – formerly Big Ben Interactive – violated several clauses of the license agreement for the game. , and should have Frogwares around 1 million euros in payments.

As it stands, The Sinking City is currently available for sale on PlayStation Store, Xbox Storefront, Nintendo eShop, and various PC storefronts, including Steam.
