Meri and Kody Brown’s relationship seems over.
Over the past two seasons of “Sister Wives”, the deterioration of Meri and Kody Brown’s marriage has been a focal point of the series. Now, Meri reveals that the relationship is “dead”.
“My relationship with Meri is – at best – just aloof and friendly,” Kody, 52, says in a preview of Sunday’s episode, obtained by Us Weekly.
The preview then looks back at a therapy session two months earlier, in which Meri, 50, drops the bombshell – stating, “The relationship between him and me is over. It’s dead. is finished.”

“I’m really careful not to push Kody, because I don’t want him to feel demanding or arrogant or anything like that,” she laments again. “I feel like I’ve given him enough notice of where I want the relationship to go, in terms of just moving forward. Better to leave the ball in his court.”
Kody then explains his true feelings regarding his first wife in over 30 years, citing that his “other three relationships” have taken precedence over Meri.

Meri is the first of four wives to husband Kody as the couple have a pluralistic relationship with Kody’s other three wives: Janelle, Christine and Robyn.

“For my entire marriage to Meri, I felt like she was dumping her emotions into a burden that I’m supposed to carry,” Kody said. “I don’t carry that burden because there is no reason I should. I haven’t made an effort in this particular relationship because I have three other relationships that are fulfilling and healthy with children. who need me [and] need to see me. “
The fractures in Meri and Kody’s relationship date back to 2015, when it was revealed that Meri had been “catfished” online by a woman she believed to be a man for relationship purposes.

“During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I started chatting with someone online who turned out not to be who they claimed to be,” Meri told People in 2015. “I have never met this person and I wish I was drawn into this situation. , but I hope that through this I will be able to help other people who find themselves in similar circumstances.
