ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – In the summer, you can always count on the opening of Six Flags Over Texas 7 days a week … now, changes in schedule increase the chances of visiting the park.
Six Flags announced that Arlington Park will be flying all year round on weekends, holidays and on special dates in January and February.
In a statement, Steve Martindale, President of the Park, said, "With our extensive collection of thrills for all ages, combined with the warm weather in the region, a year-round operating schedule will provide our members and season pass holders a better value for money. "
The changes take effect immediately. This means that this year, after Six Flags Holiday in the park, the park will be open next weekend.
Six Flags Over Texas will also be open on statutory holidays, no matter if it falls on a weekend, and selectively selects the opening dates of the week for major events taking place in the entertainment district of Arlington or North Texas.
