Skins actress Kathryn Prescott hospitalized with multiple injuries after being hit by cement truck

Kathryn Prescott was hospitalized after being hit by a cement truck on Tuesday.

News of the 30-year-old was first made public through an Instagram post that was shared on Thursday on behalf of her twin sister Megan.

The performer, known for her roles in productions such as A Dog’s Journey and Skins, is currently recovering from her multiple injuries in intensive care at a New York hospital and is “incredibly lucky to be alive.”

Megan began the post by noting that she had been informed of the actress’ injury through a call and explained what had happened to her followers.

“I received the most terrifying phone call I have ever received in my life on Tuesday night. My twin sister Kathryn was hit by a cement truck while crossing a road in New York City on September 7, ”she wrote.

The bodybuilder wrote that his twin brother suffered multiple injuries, including a “broken pelvis in two places, both legs, foot and left hand”.

Megan pointed out that although her sister is being cared for by medical professionals, her mobility could have been severely affected in the long term.

She wrote that Kathryn ‘narrowly avoided paralysis’. Doctors hope she makes a full recovery, but this will only be possible with the right care at this time.

The artist also said her sister was currently “alone in New York City with no family members.”

Megan then noted that she wanted to serve as a caregiver for her sister, who will need additional treatment after she is released from the medical facility.

“I have to be there to help her with literally everything because she will be able to do incredibly little on her own. She will be in rehab for a very long time and will need 24 hour care even after being released from the hospital, ”she added.

The UK-based social media personality also expressed her displeasure with the U.S. government’s policy towards foreign nationals as she was told she would not be able to see her sister.

She wrote: “I asked the United States Embassy to be exempted from the current restrictions prohibiting any non-American citizen from entering the United States and I was refused earlier today and I am devastated. “

Megan added: “I have documents from the hospital confirming the extent of Kathryn’s injuries and I am ready to do anything to reach her as soon as humanly possible.”

The actress also expressed that she was gravely disheartened by the situation, writing: “I don’t know what to do with myself. I need to be able to go to my sister to take care of her and yet, I have no way of doing it.

She added: “I know there is so much going on in the world right now, but my heart is broken that I cannot be with my twin sister in this horrible time in her life that she desperately needs. about me – I don’t want her to go through this alone.

Megan then asked her supporters to let Kathryn recuperate undisturbed and address all concerns to her or the actress’ representatives.

“Please don’t message or try to contact Kat right now, if you are in desperate need of her please contact me, her managers or her agent.” She needs to rest for now.

She also shared a post on her Instagram story where she pointed out that she “was not interested in spending two weeks in another country to see my sister… I have to go NOW”.
