Skype users on iOS and Android can now share their screens via video calls. Microsoft began testing the functionality of its first video call application in April, but this feature is now available to everyone. In a blog post announcing this publication, Microsoft says that you can use this feature to organize animated meetings, help illiterate relatives with their phones, or shop online with friends.
Mobile screen sharing is not an unusual feature among enterprise-based video chat applications such as Cisco WebEx, GoToMeeting, and Zoom, but it is far less common in consumer video chat services such as Google Duo, FaceTime, Messenger or WhatsApp. Depending on whether you consider Skype as a professional or consumer service, this means that you must be late or ahead of time.
You can access the new feature by pressing the menu button at the bottom right of the new Skype video call interface, which also includes the live captioning and on-screen recording features of the service.
