Skyrim’s Enderal mod has been updated for the Special Edition

The giant overhaul mod that creates a new RPG in Skyrim’s engine now has its own Special Edition upgrade. The creators of Enderal have moved on to a new project, but fans of the mod have created a version that will work with Skyrim Special Edition if you avoid going back to oldrim for your modding needs.

The creators of Enderal, SureAI, released the latest update to their massive Skyrim conversion mod last month. They also announced that they are currently working on their own game. One that doesn’t require owning Skyrim, that is. Enderal is a game in its own right, other than addiction. Due to work on their new game, SureAI has stated that they will not be working on a special version of Enderal.

Thank goodness for the modders. Or the modders who change the mods? Regardless, some Enderal fans stepped in to convert the RPG Biggo Dark to the newer and slightly better version of Skyrim.

When it launched in 2016, RPS ‘Enderal magazine rated it as excellent. “Enderal is worth the occasional frustrations that come from its own making and those inherited from Skyrim,” says Richard Cobbett. “It helps that it really feels like a world on its own, and very different. While Skyrim wasn’t the happiest game in the world, Enderal can be quite depressing when its plot kicks up and you start working on it. its mysteries. and realizing how bad things are. Yet at least it’s pretty! ”

You can find Enderal SE on Nexus Mods where its downloaders explain the process of converting your original Enderal download to a Special Edition compatible download. It’s a bit complicated for now, but apparently a Steam version of the Special Edition mod is slated for March.

Ta, Eurogamer.
