Skyward Sword HD accidentally leaks new feature

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite later this year. Nintendo revealed it much earlier this week during a Nintendo Direct filled with a ton of news, including a (disappointing) update on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. At the time of the reveal, Nintendo did not somehow say if The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD would come with amiibo support, but a new leak suggests it, and the leak is from Nintendo itself.

Shortly after the $ 60 port was revealed, pre-orders for the Nintendo eShop went live. And in the process, it was revealed that amiibo support was being added to the game as a new feature. Sadly, that’s all the list reveals about the functionality. In other words, it’s not clear how it will work.

If the reissue supports amiibo, you imagine the Skyword sword Link amiibo will be supported, and there’s a good chance other Link amiibos will as well. But could other Nintendo characters? Probably not, but it’s on the table, at least for now.

It should be noted that Nintendo has not commented on this accidental and apparent leak. If that changes, we’ll be sure to update the story with whatever is provided.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is slated for release worldwide on July 16 via Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. Not only will this require $ 60, but it will require you to free up 7.5GB of space to download it.
