The study by the American Medical Association has established a connection between sleeping with television or light on and weight gain. Health officials recommend that you leave your room with a television and other technological devices to promote a healthy sleep environment.

Or do you need a light to fall asleep?

If this is the case, these seemingly harmless habits may well save you weight.

According to a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, new research shows that falling asleep with a lot of light is now associated with an increased risk of weight gain and obesity.

The study analyzed sleep patterns of nearly 44,000 women in the United States. It was found that those who said sleeping with a television or light lit in the room, gained more than 11 pounds and had a body mass increase of about 10% over a 5 year period.

There was also a 22% chance of becoming overweight and 33% becoming obese or having too much body fat.

So, should we give up the habit and turn off the lights?

can mix your metabolism and make you gain weight.

A similar study of physically active men had similar results.
