The theatrical scene of the Slovak capital will have no break during the holiday months.

Bratislava Castle will host the 18th annual Shakespeare Summer Festival, which will take place from July 4th to 26th

. The program of the festival opens on Wednesday evening the production of Hamlet in Prague, directed by Michal Vajdička. The culmination of Shakespeare's tragedy is linked to family and political tragedy, when kings can not be reconciled with the death of their father. The show was premiered in Prague on July 27, 2017. Jaroslav Plesl will play Hamlet's lead role. The festival will present this production on July 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th

. The second production will be The Merry Wives of Windsor towards Jiří Menzel. It is said that the comedy was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth of Shakespeare, because in the first work of the play, Henry IV. the engraver of Jan Falstaff was excited. The queen wanted to see Falstaff in love, and Shakespeare tried to satisfy him for writing the game in fourteen days. The main tasks include Bolek Polívka and Simona Stašová. The festival will present the production on July 10th and 11th. The first took place on Prague Castle on July 25, 2009.

The comedy of errors, directed by Romano Polák, is also on display this year. Shakespeare even in this shortest game transcends the boundaries of traditional genres. At first, it sounds like a tragedy, but soon the game gets to the farce position. In particular, the dialogues between the Lord and the Servant are direct lessons to which modern circus clowns might resemble. The show is scheduled for July 13 to 26 with Ján Jackuliak, Ján Kožuch and Robert Roth

. The Summer Shakespeare Festival celebrates Bratislava Castle not only with the evening performances of the greatest author of all time, but also with fairy tales. The new Nitra Theater will wear a new dress on July 8th at Cisar's Fairy Tale, The Courage Fairy Tale will be presented by the Martin Theater Theater on July 15th and the Rázcestí Puppet Theater of Banska Bystrica will carry the Fairy Tale Red Cappuccino on July 22nd.
