The draft state budget for 2019, the chapter on the draft state budget for health and the draft budget of the Health Surveillance Authority have not gone through the National Council Health Committee (NR). Its members decided on Monday's session. In the commission, the opposition and coalition members agreed that the budget problem is to reallocate funding to health insurance companies.

MP Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) of TASR said that it was necessary to talk about the issue of redistribution in other committees. "I think the redistribution between the health insurance companies is not satisfactory. The General Health Insurance Company (VSZP), which now covers more than 75% of the population of all insured and is undergoing the most difficult tensions, suffers from the fact that it is not a balanced income with expenses. We concluded that this subject must be opened again, "he explained.

Positive growth

However, the coalition member positively perceives a 3.6% annual increase in health care.

"It meets all the requirements we have set in the health budget, which means fulfilling doctors' salaries, even a 16% increase for nurses and other health care workers. in capital for hospitals under the Ministry of Health of the RS. Next year it should be 100 million euros and an additional 50 million are ready for the Ministry of Health, which has been confirmed "he explained.

MEP Marek Krajčí (OĽaNO) also agrees with the issue of redistribution.

"The budget put in place by the VŠZP will pose serious problems, which has also been confirmed by the Supervisory Board, which has unanimously expressed its concern that the VŠZP budget will not sufficient funds to cover expenses, "he added. However, the budget is not well constructed in his words. "It is built in a restrictive way, so that VSZP wants to obtain funds that will not be available next year," said a deputy from opposition to TASR.
