A relaxation area with a lake will be created in Štrba. See what it looks like

Trnava. In the town of Štrky, on the outskirts of Trnava, a new recreational area can be created with artificially created lakes, sunny hills, numerous green areas, benches and grills.

The city of Trnava retained the services of a contractor when awarding repeated public contracts for an amount of € 301,000. The initial order was canceled by the mayor at the initiative of the RS government office for alleged cartels.

Two bidders, representing approximately 300,000 euros, submitted bids, the difference being less than one thousand euros. The revitalization of Štrky Forest will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the city budget.

Lake and meadow

The new dominant feature of the site of about three hectares of Štrba, at the northern limit of Trnava, is a lake whose depth of water can reach two meters and which will be flooded by the well. Its edges will form aquatic and marshy vegetation which will ensure the purification of the water and the consolidation of the banks.

"The space around the surface of the water and the embankment will be attracted by the lush nature of nature and the inhabitants will be planted with long solitary trees and several smaller groups of trees." Cabins for birds and bats

It is the territory where are the remains of the flooded woods. Part of the invasive and damaged trees will have to be dismantled, but 120 new ones will be planted. Part of the revitalization of the area will consist of an educational walk along a forest park with ecological tracks for mushrooms, insects and nest boxes for birds and bats.
