"Club AS Trenčín is concerned about the quality of the Sunday Fortuna League decision against MFK Ružomberok. A few days ago we launched a project of professionalization of judges at the Slovakian Championship of soccer. This should lead to a marked improvement in referee preparation for individual matches. However, Sunday's match was not a good advertisement for a new project. If similar situations were repeated in other meetings, it would have been a great job to professionalize football referees.
AS Trenčín is not relieved of the conduct and statements of his coach. Internally, we evaluate his behavior and address the inappropriate emotions that prevail in certain moments. On the other hand, however, we must emphasize that it is necessary to understand his words well. Coach Ricardo Moniz has accused no one of deliberately influencing the encounter.
The experience of coach Moniza of great clubs, competitions and successful academies is enriching not only for Trenčín, but also for Slovak football. This is why we want to continue to cooperate and look for ways to anticipate similar reactions. AS Trenčín has always followed its course in similar cases. We will continue to stick to it. Our priority tasks are player education and representation of the city and region. We have total confidence in SFF. Although we do not have to agree on all issues, we want to continue to respect the national confederation and its authorities, through a number of positive changes in recent years. "
