The bitcoin rate fell by more than five percent Monday to 3843 dollars (£ 3385.31). Bitcoin reached the lowest level this year and lost more than 25% of last week's value.

And other cryptomes faltered on Monday. Specifically, Ethereum decreased by 1.6% and the ripple attributed to roughly the same loss.
