British Tesco wants more discount stores

Tesco's UK distribution channel, the largest in the country, plans to switch discount stores to better compete with Aldi and Lidl in the domestic market.

Tesco has identified up to 60 stores in the UK, which can be turned into a new network of discount stores.

Tesco could begin operations in September, probably under the name of Jack (in tribute to Tesco's founder, Jack Cohen) of the British distribution chain attempted to register this name as a trademark.
