Possible cause of the quarter-collapse of part of a multi-level luxury mall in the capital of Mexico was a roof garden installed. AP reported on Friday.
According to an office of the prosecutor of the Mexican metropolis the rooftop garden of a newly opened shopping center overcame the producers who used it which apparently contributed to the collapse of the building. After its collapse, the business center staff evacuated the area on Thursday. The upper floors collapsed about five minutes later.
The Artz Pedregal shopping center, located in the southern part of the city opened in March, although still under construction. The building they built on the edge of the main road had in the past problems with the fall of the basement
