New in the workshop of a Japanese manufacturer wants to take a lens mainly stabilized. This has a range of up to 24 – 960 mm, which is a zoom of 40 times. The dimensions of the camera are only 110.1 x 63.8 x 39.9 mm, the weight is almost 300 grams
With the ZoomPlus digital zoom, you can also double the optical zoom. The brightness of the lens is even worse – f / 3.3 – f / 6.9. It consists of 13 elements in 11 groups (1 Hi-UD lens, 3 UD lenses, 2 aspherical lenses, 1 unilateral aspherical lens)
Behind the lens is a 20.3 megapixel CMOS sensor with ISO sensitivity from 100-3200. Only 9-point autofocus based on contrast detection supports emphasis. But it should be fast. The closure reaches only 1/3 200 – 15 seconds. The photo is stored exclusively in JPEG, RAW is missing
It is classified by the powerful DIGIC 8 processor, which the manufacturer also uses in the best SLR camera. Thanks to this, the SX740 HS is able to scan up to 10 frames per second in full resolution
Users will also enjoy recording 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 px) with 30 fps, respectively. Full HD video with 60 fps. There is no video time-lapse either. High speed video is missing. It also benefits from a full 3-inch screen with a touch screen. Selfie maniacs will come to theirs. It is of the LCD type and has a resolution of about 640 x 480 px
Of course, the presence of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules is also new. By connecting with a smartphone or tablet, it is possible to transfer photos not only to the memory of the device, but also remotely to control the device itself.
Canon PowerShot SX740 HS will be on sale in August in two colors. The price is not yet known, but we expect it to 400-450 €
