Hello, I'm calling Tibor and I'm 28 years old. Originally, I come from Šamorín and I am a potter of art.
How and why was your alter ego "Slovak Viking" born?
About seven years ago, one of my friends called me for a winter shoot, in historical attire and with the sword in hand. When we published these photos on facebook, citizens from Brazil, Argentina and Mexico wrote for a few days that I looked like Viking. Some people, when they learned that I came from Slovakia, started to call me "Slovak Viking". That's how I started using the nickname on social networks.
Is there a Nordic or Slavic culture closer?
Clearly slave. I have a Slavic culture in my blood, I'm only interested in Nordic culture.
What do you do in your free time?
I like long walks in nature or also in the old town of Bratislava. Fascinating me with historic buildings. I like to discover castles / ruins that I have not seen yet and I also like going to historical festivals. Well, sit down with your friends for a beer and chat a bit, it also has its charm. In addition, I am actively engaged in pottery.
How and when did you come to your job?
The parents also made ceramics, so they put my clay in my hand and showed me how she modeled it.
Is it possible to support ceramic production in Slovakia?
Barely enough. I was lucky that my parents take care of me – pottery circles, stoves, etc. Through social networks, I write to people from different countries to buy some of my products. Throughout the summer, we walk with parents to organize creative workshops for children.
Is Instagram a commercial tool for you or is it simply a representation?
More than that, it serves me for representation, but as I mentioned, it helps me completely when selling my products.
To whom do you attribute your success to social networks?
Hard to say. About half of my followers come from South America. For them, it's interesting to see a red-haired man with blue eyes. In addition, I think people are sensitive to listening to hard music, the job we see less and I love animals … Of course, there is a lot of luck.
You seem to be trying to spread positive energy. Do you also meet the healers?
Fortunately, rarely. They are mainly watched by people who have hobbies / interests similar to mine, so they are interested in history, art, they love nature, animals … So, with the artists, I only meet myself "once a year in Hungary".
Have you ever been offered a job in a manikin brand?
Yes, I've already received offers, but I felt they were not serious. There are many speculators in this brand …
If you had to choose, would it still be in the ceramic manufacturing, or would you rather go to the lighthouses?
Very good question. I'm going to make ceramics about to die, whether to feed me or to entertain me. However, plates and cups will always come together. I've long dreamed of playing in a movie or historical series like Vikings or Game of Thrones. If a similar offer comes to me, I will certainly not reject it.
