The detvian hockey player, who has been in Banská Bystrica since his 17th birthday, striker Ján Sýkora, returns to the Czech extralige after five years under Urpín.
The management of HC Dynamo Pardubice does not count with John Sýkor, 27 years old. According to our well-informed information, he should direct us to Banska Bystrica. More details on the contract will be announced by HC's 05 Friday.
Bystrický fanoušek dobře známý Ján Sýkora was active in the highest Slovak competition only in our "baranov" team. After the 2012/2013 season (47 games, 36 points), he moved from Urpín to Plzen. Later he moved to Třinec and Pardubice in the Czech extralig. Among our neighbors, he played a total of 219 games in the highest competition, achieving 56 goals and 40 assists. Last year, 42 games in Pardubice scored 7 goals and 2 assists. The general manager of Club Pardubice Dušan Salfický from Sýkora commented:
"We have long thought of his name, after all we decided to give a chance to other players."
Ján Sýkora under the nickname "Sycko" C is really nice in Banská Bystrica. He has found a lot of friends here, he knows the environment very well and likes him well. He went through all the youth teams of Slovakia and played in 17 duels as the senior national team, namely in the 2010/2014 seasons.
